Information Services
Our mission is to provide efficient, centralized, and cost effective municipal information services to the Divisions and Departments of the City, in turn helping them to provide services to citizens. Furthermore, we intend to be good stewards of public resources in order to enhance the quality of life in the City of Salisbury.
The Department of Information Services enables the City to operate efficiently, securely, and intelligently by delivering reliable technology, resilient communications infrastructure, and data-driven solutions. Through its Information Technology, Connectivity, and Data Services divisions, the department provides the secure systems, connected networks, and actionable information that support municipal operations, public safety, strategic decision-making, and exceptional service to the community.
- Information Technology Division – Delivers secure, reliable, and innovative technology services by managing the City’s infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, and end-user support to ensure efficient, resilient, and uninterrupted municipal operations
- Data Services Division – Transforms City data into reliable, accessible, and actionable information through data management, analytics, GIS, and business intelligence, enabling informed decision-making, operational efficiency, and greater transparency across the organization.
- Connectivity Division – Designs, manages, and maintains the City’s wired, wireless, and fiber communications infrastructure, providing secure, resilient, and high-performance connectivity that enables reliable operations and communication across all municipal facilities and services.
