Information Services
Our mission is to provide efficient, centralized, and cost effective municipal information services to the Divisions and Departments of the City, in turn helping them to provide services to citizens. Furthermore, we intend to be good stewards of public resources in order to enhance the quality of life in the City of Salisbury.
The Department of Information Services consists of three divisions that allow for smooth and efficient transmission of information services.
- Information Technology Division – Facilitates delivery of all systems, services, network connectivity and computer helpdesk needs.
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Division – Facilitates all geospatial data and applications for use to internal and external customers.
- Connectivity Division – Facilitates Internet services to the public, currently offered for free via Wi-Fi to visitors of the Salisbury Zoo and locations downtown.
