SALISBURY, Maryland — The City of Salisbury Field Operations Department announces a temporary road closure on East Main Street between Snow Hill Road and Ward Street. It will be going on throughout the day today and workers will be onsite through 6 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, July 29, 2025 to complete the project.
The closure is necessary to facilitate a need for new wires to be installed and is part of ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and ensure the safety of all road users. Due to project scope expansion, local access will not be maintained.
These closures are being implemented for the safety of both workers and motorists and are part of a larger initiative for traffic signal upgrades to replace outdated technology. Traffic alterations in the area will be in place throughout the week (Monday, July 28 to Friday, August 1) as part of the City’s continued commitment to public safety and infrastructure improvement.
We urge drivers to plan an alternate route and allow extra travel time during this period. The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while this essential work is carried out.
