Starting in October 2019, the City will perform a comprehensive review of the City’s Zoning Code and Zoning Map. The multi-year process will result in a re-write of the code. A goal of the revisions is to transition the zoning code from a focus on use to a focus on form. Revisions will include evaluation and inclusion of recommendations for the Paleochannel District protection per the City’s Source Water Protection Report dated August 2013. Revisions will also include incorporation of the Annexation Policy and the Critical Area code. The process will include public hearings at the Planning Commission and City Council.
