Prompt: The City of Salisbury recently received a $200,000 grant that will help to fund ongoing environmental resilience and redevelopment efforts along the North Prong of the Wicomico River. The grant, provided through Maryland’s Strategic Demolition and Smart Growth Impact Fund, will fund the demolition and removal of long-unused industrial structures at 317 and 325 Lake Street, clearing the way for the construction of a public park.
To ensure that the park best fulfills the wishes of the citizens who will utilize it, the City will host a public input session on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022. Salisbury citizens are encouraged to attend and share their insight and opinions on the following topics:
- Overall design and layout of the park
- Design/type of playground equipment to be included
- Possible inclusion of a dog park element
- Design of signage to be utilized throughout the park, including a main “identifier” sign similar to other city signage (City Park, Zoo, Waterside Park, Newton St. Community Center, etc.)
Utilizing your choice of as many (or few) of the assets below, create an 8″x10″ poster/flyer to promote the upcoming event. Bear in mind that the poster/flyer will be used for both print and social media promotion.
