    Where should yard signs be placed?

    Yard signs should be placed on private property with the property owner’s permission and in accordance with the City’s Sign Standards.

    Where should yard signs not be placed?

    Yard signs should not be placed:

    • Within the public right-of-way
    • On utility poles
    • On trees
    • Where they obstruct sidewalks, intersections, traffic signs or motorists’ sight distance

    Why are there regulations for yard signs?

    The City’s Sign Standards are intended to:

    • Protect public safety
    • Improve traffic safety
    • Reduce hazards for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists
    • Preserve community appearance

    Do yard signs require a permit?
