After-School at Newton is a FREE after-school drop-in youth program for ages 8–18 held at the Newton Community Center (306 Newton Street, Salisbury). The program provides a safe space for youth to participate in activities, socialize, and work on homework. Participants under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult while attending the program. This is a free drop-in program. Participants may arrive and leave at any time. Once they leave the center, they are no longer under staff supervision. Families should arrange transportation with their participant in advance.
Each day will consist of a different activity:
Monday – Gaming
Tuesday – Art
Wednesday – Wellness
Thursday – STEM
Registration is required. Please visit https://secure.rec1.com/MD/salisbury-md/catalog to register. You will need to make an account first if you do not have one already, click on Activities, then Youth Programs, and finally Afterschool at Newton to register. Please note you will also have to add your child(ren) to your account by clicking “add account member”, then you can select them for registration to the program.
