Downtown Footbridge Across the Wicomico River has Been Closed Due to Poor Structural Integrity

    December 5, 2024

SALISBURY, Maryland — The City of Salisbury would like to make the public aware that the footbridge over the Wicomico River from Lot 16 to the River Walk Amphitheater must be closed due to safety concerns.

The bridge has been deemed unsafe after an engineering inspection revealed compromised structural integrity.

The City will provide updates when a decision has been made as to how to move forward.
