Salisbury, MD — The City of Salisbury invites residents and visitors to celebrate the arrival of the New Year at the annual Downtown Salisbury Ball Drop on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Taking place in the heart of Downtown Salisbury, this family-friendly celebration is set to be the Eastern Shore’s largest New Year’s Eve event, drawing crowds together in excitement, entertainment, and community pride.
This year’s celebration will feature live musical performances from A.M.P. Studio, daybloom, and The Boh Daddies, setting the stage for a lively evening leading up to the iconic midnight ball drop. Attendees will also enjoy a variety of interactive attractions including a mechanical bull, mobile rage room, selfie station, and crowd trivia activities.
Attendees are invited to participate in the Shining Star Contest by wearing their brightest or most reflective outfit. The audience will vote to select the winner, who will be invited on stage during the midnight ball drop.
The Downtown Salisbury Ball Drop is also a T.A.P.S. (To-go Alcohol in Public Spaces) approved event, designed to support and highlight local businesses and strengthen community engagement. As part of the celebration, participating T.A.P.S. establishments include:

- Mogan’s Oyster House
- Bury Tavern
- Roadie Joe’s Bar & Grill
Guests are encouraged to visit and enjoy specials and activities hosted at these locations throughout the evening.
To facilitate this event, road closures will begin at 12 p.m. on December 31, including:
- Main St. from St. Peters Street to Court St.
- Division St. from Rt. 50 to Camden St.
Residents and guests are encouraged to plan ahead and utilize the Downtown Salisbury Parking Garage located on Circle Avenue.
