The City of Salisbury will implement a temporary road closure to accommodate a Rabies Clinic event being held behind the Wicomico County Health Department on East Main Street. That event was rescheduled from October 4 and is taking place tomorrow, October 25.
To ensure the safety of participants and staff, the overhang area behind the Health Department on Camden Street will be blocked off during the event. The closure of Camden Street to thru traffic between South Division Street and Baptist Street will begin today, Friday, October 24. Please note that the sidewalk will remain open to pedestrians as will the Parking Garage to regular traffic throughout the duration of the closure. Parking is enforced Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Otherwise, legal parking downtown outside of those hours remains FREE.
The temporary blockades are set to be removed on Monday morning, October 27, by 10:00 a.m. Drivers coming from Baptist Street who need to turn around during this time may do so in The Ross parking lot if needed.
The City of Salisbury appreciates the public’s cooperation and understanding as we work to support this important community health event.
