City Removes Isabella Street Detour Between Mill and Lake Streets after Repair

    October 3, 2024

SALISBURY, Maryland — The westbound lane of Isabella Street between Mill and Lake Streets has reopened as of 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024. Detours have been removed and all traffic flow through the area has returned to normal.

The project took a few weeks to complete because care was taken to make sure that the cause of the failure was adequately investigated.

The City’s Field Operations crew worked in conjunction with a contractor to dig and fill a sinkhole that had reduced the integrity of the road surface and caused a failure.

“We appreciate the patience and understanding of our residents during the project,” Director of Field Operation Mike Dryden said. “We are happy to say that the area is back to normal.”
