City of Salisbury Encourages Residents to Use 28-Day Crime Viewer as Daylight Saving Time Approaches

    September 15, 2025

SALISBURY, Maryland – As daylight saving time approaches, the City of Salisbury is reminding residents about the 28-Day Crime Viewer, a dynamic and interactive online tool that empowers the public to explore incidents responded to by the Salisbury Police Department over the past four weeks.

Through an intuitive map overlaid with a grid of Salisbury’s neighborhoods, users can click any grid cell to view a detailed breakdown of incident types—such as thefts, burglaries, assaults, and more—that occurred within that area during the 28-day window. This feature provides both broad trends and street-level insights, enhancing public situational awareness and safety preparedness.

As part of its safety awareness initiative, the City also offers the following tips to help residents protect themselves and their property:

    • Lock vehicles and remove valuables.
    • Keep homes and outbuildings locked and well-lit.
    • Stay aware of your surroundings and avoid poorly lit areas at night.
    • Call 911 immediately in the event of an emergency.

The 28-Day Crime Viewer helps residents stay engaged and proactive about safety in their neighborhoods. By offering timely and reliable information, the viewer builds trust, encourages awareness, and strengthens the partnership between residents and public safety agencies.
