City of Salisbury Announces West Bound Lane Closure on West College Avenue for Scheduled Tree Maintenance
SALISBURY, MD – The City of Salisbury is committed to ensuring the safety and beauty of our community. In line with this commitment, we are announcing a temporary lane closure on West College Avenue due to scheduled tree maintenance.
Beginning on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, and continuing through Wednesday, September 13, 2023, weather permitting, the westbound lane on West College Avenue will be temporarily closed to scheduled essential tree maintenance. The maintenance operation will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.
To minimize inconvenience to residents and commuters, traffic going westbound on West College Avenue will be rerouted to Lorecrop Drive, a designated detour route. The detour will guide drivers safely around the maintenance area, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic during this period.
The City of Salisbury would like to express its gratitude for your understanding and cooperation during this maintenance period. We recognize the temporary inconvenience this may cause and assure you that these efforts are aimed at preserving the health and aesthetics of our urban forest for the benefit of our entire community.
Please plan your commute accordingly, and if possible, consider alternative routes to avoid delays. We also encourage all residents to follow posted signage, exercise caution when traveling through the detour area, and obey all traffic rules to ensure the safety of all road users.
