SALISBURY, Maryland – The City of Salisbury is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie English as the new City Clerk. With nearly a decade of dedicated service to the City and three years of experience as an Assistant City Clerk, English brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role.
“For the last three years, I have excelled in the position of Assistant City Clerk, which has prepared me for this new role,” said English. “I have worked for the City of Salisbury for almost ten years. During that time, I worked hard to gain the skills and experience needed to be a successful City Clerk. I appreciate the opportunity to further my time and continue being an asset to this City. I will meet and exceed the expectations for this role.”
English’s journey with the City of Salisbury began in 2015, and consistent growth and accomplishments across various departments have marked her career. She has held key roles, including Buyer/Buyer Assistant in the Procurement Department, Office Manager for Field Operations, and Administrative Assistant in the Mayor’s Office before her recent position as Assistant City Clerk/Records Administrator.
In her previous roles, English demonstrated strong leadership and attention to detail, managing tasks such as preparing and submitting payroll, overseeing records retention, and assisting with the election process. Her extensive experience with city operations, coupled with her proficiency in software systems like Munis, Asana, and Laserfiche, has made her an invaluable asset to the City.
In addition to her professional achievements, English is a graduate of Wor-Wic Community College, holding an Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies.
The City of Salisbury looks forward to English’s continued contributions in her new capacity as City Clerk, confident in her ability to uphold the integrity and efficiency of the City’s administrative functions.
