The City of Salisbury advises motorists and pedestrians of a temporary traffic pattern change on East Main Street near 523 E. Main St. beginning Monday, Aug. 10 through Friday, Aug. 21.
A private contractor will be completing utility and site work, including water and sewer installation, sidewalk improvements and curb and gutter installation.
Work is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Traffic will be maintained through lane shifts in both directions with appropriate signage, traffic cones and variable message boards.
The sidewalk in the work area will be closed during construction. Motorists and pedestrians should use caution when traveling through the area and follow posted signs and traffic control devices.
The schedule is subject to change based on weather and construction conditions. The City appreciates the public’s patience while this work is completed.
