SALISBURY, MD – The City of Salisbury announces that the pedestrian bridge located in City Park, across from the bandstand, will be temporarily closed for renovations beginning Thursday, August 6, 2026, with construction expected to be completed by Thursday, September 17, 2026.
The bridge will be closed to all pedestrian traffic throughout the duration of the project to allow for necessary improvements and to ensure the safety of the public and construction crews.
I am thrilled to see the Pedestrian Bridge Project get underway,” said Mayor Taylor. “The City Park is a place where families, friends and visitors come together, and maintaining these spaces is a priority for our administration. I look forward to seeing the finished project and thank our community for their patience during construction.”
Residents and visitors are asked to use alternate routes while work is underway and to obey all posted signs and barriers around the construction area.
The City appreciates the public’s patience and understanding as these improvements are completed. The renovations will help enhance the safety, longevity, and overall condition of the pedestrian bridge for everyone who enjoys City Park.
