Salisbury- Due to the relaxing of health and safety guidelines by the State of Maryland in response to down-trending coronavirus positivity rates state-wide, the City of Salisbury hereby rescinds its previous 50-person limit on gatherings within Salisbury City limits.
While the City has determined that current conditions regarding exposure to COVID-19 no longer require the 50-person limit on the number of people who may gather at social, community, recreational, leisure, and sporting gatherings and events, taking proper precautions and continuing to assess social situations in terms of health standards are still very important.
“The City of Salisbury will continue to closely monitor the positivity rate Statewide and locally and will make any necessary changes to quickly respond to COVID-19. I implore you all to continue to stay home when able, socially distance indoors and outdoors, wear masks, and practice good hand hygiene,” shared City Administrator, Julia Glanz.
Those hosting or attending gatherings should take the time before-hand to review guidelines and safety protocols put forth by the CDC and the Maryland Health Department. The CDC’s guidelines and considerations for events or gatherings can be found here: https://bit.ly/3ebakPJ
We ask that the public monitor City social media and our website for updates concerning executive orders, guidelines, and best practices as outlined by the Maryland Department of Health and the CDC.
