    Make Your Fourth of July Unforgettable in Salisbury

    SALISBURY, Maryland — In observance of Independence Day, all City of Salisbury government offices will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025.While administrative offices will be closed, the Salisbury Zoo will remain open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., inviting visitors to enjoy a peaceful holiday walk among the animals.

    Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate the Fourth of July at City Park, where the Sound Bites Tour continues with a special patriotic performance by the Salisbury Community Band at the City Bandstand from 6 – 7 p.m.. Enjoy live music, delicious bites from the Grateful Grub food truck, and a day full of family-friendly fun and festivities. This free concert will feature classic American marches and patriotic favorites, bringing the community together in celebration of tradition and pride.

    Tomorrow night, join us for Red, White, and BOOM, the annual fireworks celebration at James M. Bennett High School on Friday, July 4. Gates open at 6 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. Bring your blanket or lawn chair to claim your spot and enjoy food trucks on site serving ice cream, snow cones, hot dogs, burgers, and more. Admission and the fireworks show are free; guests only pay for food purchases.

    Road Closures Begin Friday, July 4 starting at 8:30 P.M. until End of Show:

    • East College Ave. (from Arthur Ct. to S. Division St.)
    • S Division St. (from Avery St. to W. College Ave.)

    Motorists and pedestrians are advised to seek alternative routes and use caution in the area. Prefer to watch from elsewhere? The fireworks display can be enjoyed from various locations around Salisbury – just look up!

    Please note that trash and recycling collection normally scheduled for Friday will be moved to Saturday, July 5. Residents are reminded to place their containers out by 6:00 a.m. for pickup.
