SALISBURY, Maryland – The City of Salisbury is excited to welcome Nicholas Voitiuc as the Director of Infrastructure and Development. After a thorough interview process, we have confidently chosen Voitiuc for this crucial role. He has demonstrated his leadership skills, commitment to growth, and a strong desire to excel in our City through his interactions and past experiences.
“I am humbled and honored to have been selected by Mayor Taylor and the Council to join the City of Salisbury as the Director of Infrastructure and Development at this pivotal time in the City’s history,” Voitiuc said. “Between continuing to facilitate development throughout the City and executing upgrades to critical infrastructure, I know how crucial this position is to the City’s smart and sustainable growth. I look forward to leading a dedicated, professional staff in delivering for the people of Salisbury day in and day out going forward.”
Most recently, Voitiuc served as a Construction Project Executive for New York City’s Department of Design and Construction (NYC DDC) from 2020 to 2024. There, he helped develop design-build programs worth over $10 billion, wrote RFQs and RFPs, and managed active contracts and budgets. During his tenure, he also led senior project managers and consultant staff members. His community involvement was evident as he participated in community board meetings, engaged with council members, and collaborated with the Mayor’s Office. His efforts have led to numerous accomplishments.
Voitiuc’s career in infrastructure and development began after he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Classics from Johns Hopkins University and a Master’s Degree in Construction Management from New York University, along with various other training and certifications. His first job in construction was at his family business, where he worked as a Project Manager at Alex Voitiuc PE RA from 2008 to 2016. He then joined NYC DDC as a Construction Project Manager.
His journey has been marked by significant development and growth, aligning perfectly with what we value in Salisbury.
