The city of salisbury will be conducting a citywide public water main flushing program. The purpose of this annual program is to improve water quality, improve the health of our water system, and ensure fire hydrants are operational and in good working order.
To minimize inconvenience, we will flush the public water system at night – usually between 7:00 p.m. And 5:00 a.m. Flushing will take place on the following dates:
north and west of wicomico river june 16th and 17th south and east of wicomico river june 18th and 19th
there will be no interruption of service while this is in progress. However, temporary reduction in water pressure may be experienced, in addition, some discoloration of the water may occur. These are normal conditions during flushing activities. If discoloration occurs at your residence or place of business, you can facilitate clearing by letting a faucet run for a short time.
