Salisbury– The City of Salisbury has announced the opening application period for a COVID-19 Emergency Relief Micro-grant Program for eligible businesses within City limits. The program, made possible through funding previously available via the City’s Revolving Loan program, will be available to businesses in the Revolving Loan area on a grant basis in amounts up to $2,300.

Director of Business Development, Laura Soper said, “The goal with this program is to help businesses that have been most impacted by the mandated shutdowns. Our small businesses that relied on a steady customer base were hit especially hard, and we recognize that their recovery will not be easy. Our hope is that these funds will play a small role in helping our business community to come out of this down-time, and continue operating in the post-COVID world.”

The application period is open and will remain open until June 30th. All eligible applications will be entered into a lottery system, and awards will be made on or around July 15th. For more information about the microgrant program or to apply, please visit www.salisbury.md/covid-19-micro-grant-program or contact Laura Soper at [email protected].
