Salisbury–As part of The City of Salisbury’s effort to keep residents informed of ongoing improvements, please be advised of adjusted traffic patterns and street closures on Wednesday, May 31st and Thursday, June 1st from 8:30am to 4pm to facilitate the demolition of a condemned property.
Heavy equipment needs to be onsite for this project which means the City will be closing Smith Street from the intersection of Florida Avenue and North Boulevard as well as Havel Avenue from Waverly Drive to Smith Street. Residents living in the area will still have access to their driveways, residents living on Hazel Avenue will be able to exit the area traveling East on Hazel Avenue, as Traffic will be reversed to facilitate the demolition. Demolition and clean up is expected to take 2 days.
Suggested detours include remaining on Waverly Drive and turning on North Boulevard instead of turning on Havel Avenue or Florida Avenue, or taking Waverly Drive instead of Smith Street.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience. Should you have any questions or need clarification regarding this project, please contact Mike Dryden with the Development of Field Operations at 410-548-3177.
