City Announces Rescheduled Road Closure on Benny Street for Sewer Manhole Installation

    May 21, 2025

SALISBURY, Maryland — The City of Salisbury announces a rescheduled temporary road closure on Benny Street, between Naylor Street and Marshall Street, to install a new sewer manhole.

Construction will now begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, May 27, and is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday, May 28, barring any unforeseen delays.

During this period, Benny Street will be closed to through traffic between Naylor Street and Marshall Street. However, local traffic will maintain access to Naylor Street and Marshall Street.

Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and to use caution when traveling in the area.

The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as we work to improve our infrastructure.

For questions regarding this project, please contact Gillis Gilkerson at 410-749-4821.
