City Announces Temporary Road Closure: Portion of Benny Street to Close for Sewer Construction

    May 16, 2025

SALISBURY, Maryland—The City of Salisbury announces a temporary road closure on Benny Street, between Naylor Street and Marshall Street, to install a new sewer manhole.

Construction will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, May 19, and is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday, May 20, barring any unforeseen delays.

During this period, Benny Street will be closed to through traffic between Naylor Street and Marshall Street. However, local traffic will maintain access to Naylor Street and Marshall Street.

Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and to use caution when traveling in the area.

The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as we work to improve our infrastructure.

For questions regarding this project, please contact Gillis Gilkerson at 410-749-4821.
