SALISBURY, Md. — The City of Salisbury announces a temporary roadway closure and traffic pattern changes on Queen Avenue as part of ongoing infrastructure improvement efforts to expand the City’s water main system.
Work is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., barring any unforeseen circumstances.
The impacted area includes Queen Avenue from Sassafras Drive to West Road. Traffic will be affected in both lanes throughout the project, with alternating one-way traffic in place during afternoon bus traffic operations.
Detours will be in effect and signage will be posted to direct motorists through the area. Traffic control operations will be in effect, including flagging personnel on-site.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, expect delays and use caution while traveling through the work zone.
The City of Salisbury appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as crews continue work to improve critical infrastructure throughout the community.
