Monticello Avenue Traffic to be Disrupted for Paving April 29-May 3

    April 25, 2024

SALISBURY, Maryland — As part of Salisbury Public Works’ ongoing effort to keep the public informed of improvements within the City of Salisbury, please be advised that a private contractor will be affecting the flow of traffic Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3, 2024, at Monticello Avenue.

During that time, Monticello Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Hanover Street and Smith Street. Residents will be able to access their homes. Once Monticello Ave. paving is completed, South Boulevard will be under a lane closure with two-way traffic flowing with flaggers for one day.

The paving will begin on Monday, April 29, and run through Friday, May 3, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen problems. Expect minor periodic traffic delays due to traffic pattern modifications between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Also, street parking will not be available during the construction. Vehicles remaining during hours of construction are subject to towing.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Your patience and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

Should you have any questions or need clarification regarding this project, please contact Jon Wilson with the Salisbury Department of Infrastructure & Development at 410-548-3170.
