SALISBURY, Maryland — As the City of Salisbury has implemented a new automated parking system within the Circle Avenue Parking Garage, there have been significant hardware and software challenges that have made use of the garage a challenge for our residents and visitors to downtown.
“The Mayor’s office appreciates the patience of our permit holders regarding the parking garage and the implementation of the automated parking system,” Mayor Randy Taylor said. “As everyone can see, we have had a meaningful problem with our vendor and have had multiple false starts with a difficult flow of reliable information.”
In an effort to bring the public up to date, on Tuesday, the vendor again found a software glitch which caused the most recent malfunction. The company was working on Thursday (April 11) to find a solution and was scheduled to retest the system afterward.
“This transition has been a real challenge and the City is poised to correct any future issues as they present,” Taylor said “Again, thank you for your patience as this has been a difficult process to work through for all involved and affected.”
