    MAIN STREET PROJECT TEMPORARY STREET CLOSURE – 300 BLOCK OF E. MAIN STREET

    MAIN STREET PROJECT TEMPORARY STREET CLOSURE – 300 BLOCK OF E. MAIN STREET
    A private contractor will need to close E. Main Street from Route 13 to Poplar Hill intersection in the City of Salisbury beginning Monday April 9th at 7:00 a.m. to allow movement of equipment and materials for demolition and reconstruction of sidewalk and installation of landscape pavers. The contractor intends to re-open the road for weekends.

    MAIN STREET PROJECT TEMPORARY SIDEWALK CLOSURE- 300 BLOCK OF E. MAIN STREET
    The contractor will begin work on the north side of E. Main Street at Route 13 and proceed toward Poplar Hill Avenue. The work to be performed includes saw cutting and removal of sidewalk, excavating the area below the proposed paver sidewalk, installing electrical and broadband conduit, and storm water underdrains. Access to all businesses and buildings will be maintained, following sidewalk removal milling material will be placed temporarily. As this effort progresses the contractor will be working behind the curb on both sides of the street. Signs will be in place to inform pedestrians and direct safe passage.
