Field Operations to Begin Bump-Out Demolition on Fitzwater Street Next Week

    March 20, 2026

The City of Salisbury announced today that our Field Operations team will begin bump-out demolition work on Fitzwater Street starting Tuesday, March 24.
Weather permitting, this phase of the improvement project is expected to be completed by Friday, March 27.
Travelers are encouraged to use caution when moving through the area. Flaggers will be on site to help direct vehicles.
“This project reflects our commitment to building safer, more accessible streets for everyone in our community,” Mayor Randy Taylor said. “We appreciate residents’ patience as we continue improving Salisbury’s infrastructure.”
Thank you for your understanding as we work to enhance our City. Please stay tuned to the City of Salisbury’s official website our new Downtown Salisbury information hub and City social media channels for updates and announcements.
