The City of Salisbury is pleased to announce the completion of upgrades at Woodcock Park and invites the community to celebrate the revitalized playground with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, March 19, at 4 p.m.
The improvement project, led by the City’s Department of Field Operations, began with the removal of the park’s previous playground equipment to make way for a modern and more engaging play space. The newly installed playground features updated equipment designed to better serve local children and families while providing a safe, vibrant place for recreation.
The revitalization of Woodcock Park reflects the City’s continued commitment to improving public spaces and expanding recreational opportunities throughout Salisbury’s neighborhoods.
“Woodcock Park has been a long-term asset of the Pinehurst/Camden neighborhood for years. It is now receiving a much-deserved makeover to be sure it is well-positioned to be enjoyed for many generations to come. Neighborhood parks are critical component of quality livability and these kinds of improvements are vitally important,” said Mayor Randy Taylor.
Community members are invited to attend the ribbon cutting and be among the first to enjoy the park’s new features. City officials, staff and community partners will gather to mark the completion of the project and celebrate the investment in one of Salisbury’s neighborhood parks. Kona Ice also plans to be onsite serving up sweet treats for attendees during the event.
The City looks forward to seeing families gather, children explore and Woodcock Park come alive with renewed energy as residents enjoy the new playground for years to come.
