SALISBURY, Maryland – The City of Salisbury is committed to maintaining safe and reliable roadways for its residents. As part of this ongoing effort, the City has hired a contractor to begin road resurfacing in the Fitzwater area, including 1st Street, 2nd Street, Pearl Street, and surrounding roads. Milling work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Repaving is set to begin on March 10, with completion expected by March 15, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
This project is led by the Field Operations Department, which regularly evaluates all City streets and prioritizes repairs based on conditions and available budget. Key issues assessed include:
-
Potholes
-
Cracking
-
Loss of material
The resurfacing project will take place in two phases:
Project Area 1

West Main Street
Project Area 2
