SALISBURY, Maryland – As part of the City of Salisbury’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving its Water Distribution System, the Department of Waterworks Utilities Division will be replacing a fire hydrant at the corner of East Isabella Street and Railroad Avenue on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
To facilitate this critical infrastructure upgrade, Railroad Avenue will be closed from East Church Street to Elizabeth Street from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m. The closure will apply to all thru traffic, including emergency vehicles. Flaggers will be positioned at the intersection of East Isabella Street and Railroad Avenue to help manage traffic flow and ensure public safety.
All necessary locators and Central Alarm have been notified of this work. The City of Salisbury appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents and commuters as we work to enhance our community’s water infrastructure.
