Christine Chestnutt Returns to the City of Salisbury as Housing & Homelessness Manager

    January 30, 2025

SALISBURY, Maryland – The City of Salisbury is pleased to announce the return of Christine Chestnutt as the new Housing & Homelessness Manager. Chestnutt, who previously served in this role from 2018 to 2022, brings over a decade of experience in management, leadership, and program implementation, with a proven track record of success in overseeing community projects and driving organizational growth.

Chestnutt’s background includes managing homeless services and permanent supportive housing programs, leading cross-functional teams, and securing funding to support housing initiatives. She has worked closely with community stakeholders to advocate for the unsheltered population and provide leadership during critical times.

“I am honored to return to the City of Salisbury to continue our work in helping the unsheltered population,” said Chestnutt. “Anne Street Village was my biggest dream, and I am grateful for the opportunity to return and see it come to fruition. I look forward to working with our community partners to provide sustainable solutions and support for those in need.”

As Housing & Homelessness Manager, Chestnutt will continue to lead key initiatives, including Anne Street Village, which is dedicated to providing housing and supportive services to Salisbury’s homeless residents.

Her expertise in grant management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement will be instrumental in furthering the City’s efforts to address homelessness and improve housing accessibility.

Mayor Randy Taylor stated, “We are excited to welcome Christine back to the City of Salisbury. Her expertise and dedication have been invaluable to our community, and we are confident that under her leadership, we will continue making significant strides in providing much-needed housing solutions and services to our most vulnerable residents.”
