DESCRIPTION:The Salisbury Zoo will host its Annual 5K Run/Walk on Saturday\, April 25th at 9 am\, rain or shine just before our Earth Day celebration. Sponsored by Vernon Powell Shoes\, the Zoo Stampede benefits the Salisbury Zoo and guarantees fun for the whole family! Prizes will be given to the top finishers in every age category as well as random giveaways from VP Shoes and the Zoo. Participants can pre-register for $20   at VP Shoes or at the Salisbury Zoo. Printable form available here. Participants may also register on the day of the race for $25 between 7:30 am and 8:30 am at the Zoo’s main entrance. SUMMARY:Earth Day at the Salisbury Zoo
DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate Mother Earth on Saturday\, April 25th! This is a free event and promotes environmental awareness and how we can become good stewards of our planet. The Zoo will showcase over 15 earth-friendly organizations that will exhibit and provide information about green practices. Along with the exhibitors\, there will be other Earth Day activities. Green talks\, recycled craft activities\, face painting\, animal meet and greets and music. We will also celebrate Arbor Day with information about trees and the important role they play in our environment.
