SUMMARY:Poplar Hill Mansion Festival
DESCRIPTION:Come to the award-winning Second Annual Poplar Hill Mansion Festival as we celebrate the Federal Period history of Salisbury! The day long festival will include War of 1812 re-enactors: Chesapeake Independent Blues\, spinning demonstrations\, music and dancing of the Federal period\, and 4-H crafts and archery demonstrations. There will also be a tented Market Square with vendors selling and/or demonstrating arts and trades reminiscent of the Federal Period. Food trucks will be available. Also join community leaders and elected officials in helping raise money for the Friends of Poplar Hill Mansion as they scramble to raise money to be kept from having to go into the stocks! It’s sure to be a fun filled day! Tours of Poplar Hill Mansion will also be available throughout the day and volunteers will be wearing period dress. \nThis is a FREE event with parking located in the Bethesda Methodist Church parking lot on the corner of Division St. and Isabella St. in the Newtown Neighborhood. \nThis event is being held in conjunction with the Charles Chipman Center’s Juneteenth Celebration.

DESCRIPTION:Help us repaint our rainbow crosswalk\, located near the Downtown Branch of the Wicomico Public Library! \nIt’s been almost a year since the crosswalk has been installed\, and it’s in desperate need of repainting! We’ve set aside Saturday 6/29 to touch it up. Come join us! All supplies are donated and provided by PFLAG Salisbury. \nWe start at 9am and finish when we’re done. PFLAG provides snacks and drinks!
